A weak to moderate onshore flow this evening will decrease late as a cold front approaches south Texas. The front will move into the coastal waters Tuesday afternoon with a strong offshore flow and increasing seas developing in its wake. Showers and thunderstorms will occur along and ahead of the front...gradually decreasing in areal coverage after the boundary passes. Offshore flow will weaken near the coast late Tuesday night. Much drier conditions are expected behind the front by Wednesday. The offshore flow and seas will gradually weaken through Thursday as high pressure slowly settles across south Texas. The high will shift east on Friday with onshore flow resuming. As an area of low pressure deepens over the Southern Plains Saturday...a moderate to strong onshore flow will develop with isolated showers.

Southeast wind 10 to 15 knots. Seas 2 to 3 feet. A slight chance of showers in the evening...then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight.

Southeast wind 10 to 15 knots becoming north 25 to 30 knots in the afternoon with gusts to 40 knots. Seas 4 to 6 feet. Widespread showers and scattered thunderstorms.

North wind around 25 knots. Seas 7 to 9 feet. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening.

Northeast wind around 20 knots decreasing to 15 to 20 knots in the afternoon. Seas 7 to 9 feet subsiding to 5 to 7 feet in the afternoon.

North wind 15 to 20 knots. Seas 5 to 7 feet.

Northeast wind 10 to 15 knots. Seas 4 to 6 feet.

Northeast wind 10 to 15 knots shifting southeast. Seas 2 to 4 feet.

Southeast wind 10 to 15 knots increasing to 15 to 20 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet. A slight chance of showers.
