... The urban and small stream flood advisory remains in effect until 230 am MST for Pima and Santa Cruz counties...
At 100 am MST... National Weather Service Doppler radar continued to indicate moderate rainfall with isolated areas of brief heavy rainfall over the advisory area. Given the amounts of rainfall the advisory area has already seen tonight... any additional rainfall can and will will be of concern for areas that are prone to flooding due to low elevation or poor drainage.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause elevated levels on small creeks and streams... and ponding of water in urban areas... highways... streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage areas and low lying spots.
Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross safely. Move to higher ground.
