The Winter Weather Advisory for snow is now in effect until 4 PM
PST Monday.
* Timing: snow has begun to develop this evening and will continue
through Monday... with the heaviest snow expected late tonight
and Monday morning.
* Snow accumulations: west of Highway 395 and along and south
of Highway 44... 4 to 8 inches. Elsewhere... 1 to 3 inches
with locally higher amounts possible.
* Impacts: travel restrictions likely south and west of
Susanville including Highway 44... Highway 36 over Fredonyer
Pass... and highways 70 and 89. Travel delays will be
possible along Highway 395.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
Snow is expected to pose an inconvenience to travelers. Roads
will become slick and hazardous... with snow and ice first
developing on bridges and overpasses. Motorists should slow
down... use caution... and expect travel delays. Check our website
