... Rough boating conditions expected this Memorial Day weekend...

Rough boating conditions are expected at times over the Holiday
weekend across the eastern Gulf of Mexico. Northeast winds
increase to between 15 and 20 knots over the coastal waters of the
eastern Gulf of Mexico tonight as strong high pressure builds to
the north of the Florida Peninsula. Gusty easterly winds will
continue through the morning hours of Saturday and then briefly
diminish Saturday afternoon. Easterly winds are then expected to
quickly increase to advisory levels Saturday evening and remain
elevated into Sunday morning.

These conditions will build seas to between 3 and 4 feet away
from the coast by late tonight... and then to between 4 and 5
Saturday night.

Boaters venturing out into the eastern Gulf of Mexico for the
Memorial Day weekend should prepare for these rough late may
conditions during the overnight and morning hours the next
several days.

The National Weather Service in Tampa Bay area - Ruskin FL has
issued a Fire Weather Watch... which is in effect from Saturday
afternoon through Saturday evening.

* Affected area... Citrus... Sumter... Hernando... Pasco...
Pinellas... Hillsborough... Polk... Manatee... Hardee...
Sarasota... DeSoto.

* Wind... around 15 mph with higher gusts possible.

* Humidity... lowest afternoon values of 30 to 35 percent.

* Erc... 27 or higher.

* Impacts... any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...
