The National Weather Service in Morristown has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for... central Knox County in eastern Tennessee... north central Blount County in eastern Tennessee...

* until 845 PM EDT

* at 642 PM EDT...Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to showers and thunderstorms. This may cause Urban and Small Stream flooding in the advisory area. Rainfall in excess of one inch of rain has already fallen. Additional rainfall up to 1 inch is possible.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Knoxville...Alcoa...Louisville...Rockford...Eagleton Village... Halls...Wildwood...Bearden...Maloneyville...Lake Forest... Mascot and Seymour.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall may cause flooding of small creeks and streams...urban areas...highways...streets and underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
