Showers and thunderstorms will continue this evening across the Texas and Oklahoma panhandles. With the loss of daytime heating... many of these thunderstorms have followed a weakening trend over the past hour but there are a few stronger storms in the area. Through 730 PM...one of these thunderstorms will impact central and eastern Lipscomb County. This storm will produce heavy downpours and occasional cloud to ground lightning as it moves slowly to the north. Other weaker showers and thunderstorms will continue across the area. One band of shower will continue from near Spearman...to cactus...to Dalhart Hart. Another will continue to weaken near Claude. Rainfall amounts will generally average between 1/10 and 1/4 of an inch per hour with these storms...although isolated locations may receive around 1 inch.
