Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that there has been no cloudiness over the Sea for the past 24 hours.
Looking now south to the Mexican Riviera where Bud continues to act unpredictably. This morning the National Hurricane Center has plutoed Bud to a tropical depression and indicates that he will be a remnant low in the next 36 hours most likely sooner.
Satellite imagery is of not much help in locating Bud. He is somewhere either inland or off shore. There are hardly any clouds in the area but models show him moving north along the coast and we know how accurate they have been.
That looks like the only thing cooking in our tropical kitchen this morning so looking now north to the west coast of America where a couple lows are the weather makers for the west coast.
The first is moving out of Nevada into the Great Basin and keeping the bar there around 1000 for the next 24 hours. This will give cause to strong winds throughout the southwest.
The other low is moving out of southern California and will eventually end up in the Great Basin. Meantime this trough will continue moving through Southern California and will continue to bring gusty winds over the coastal waters this morning. The gusty winds will continue to produce steep wind waves making for hazardous conditions for small craft this morning. Winds will weaken later today through tonight. Weak to occasionally moderate onshore flow will prevail Sunday through Wednesday as a thermal low sets up near Needles with high pressure off the coast.
Looking now over to the southwest where that front moving into the Great Basin will cool things down in Arizona today. Temperatures in the low deserts will fall to the mid 80s this afternoon and begin to rebound tomorrow.
That front is also responsible for the gradient the will produce the high winds today and tomorrow. Red Flag fire warnings are posted all over the state. The state is bone dry with the humidity readings in the teens or less.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence the northern Sea will see moderate northerlies today on the Baja side and strong to 35 along the Sonoran coast.
The central Sea pretty much 17-19 today increasing a bit tomorrow and diminishing a bit on Monday
The southern Sea will continue to see moderate winds with a western component for the next 3 days.
Temperature were again cooler yesterday. It looks like today will see temperatures in the high 80s to the low 90s.
