Cold November morning

20 minutes southwest of St. Louis, MO, the Meremac River floods on November 1st, 2009. Crest reached 27 feet, about 12 feet above flood stage, in Valley Park, MO. The intersection of Water and Ferry Streets, in downtown Fenton, MO, is one of the first areas to succumb to local flooding.

There is a spur that ends in South Fork, Colorado and it is used for storage. Used to be a couple miles of spine cars here. Now they are storing a few miles of gondolas. Some of the bikers that rode this 23 mile parade. Lots of tooting, honking and waving. It was a joy to see and hear all of these bikers. The Last Ride of Bikers on Parade for the USA MISSION: Bikers on Parade for the USA™ will honor our military, veterans, law enforcement, firefighters and rescue personnel in remembrance of 9/11 with an annual motorcycle parade. GOALS: Our first goal is to honor and to make everyone more aware of the commitment and sacrifices of the first responders who so bravely protect us.
