A rapidly developing storm low over the Central North Pacific northwest of the Hawaiian Islands is forecast to move northeastward with winds and seas forces 10-12 during the next 12-36 hours within 360NM south of the center affecting shipping lanes in the Central and Eastern North Pacific.

Not to be outdone, the North Atlantic is brewing up a storm that will affect the shipping routes between Northern Europe and the US north of Hatteras. Update: An intense storm low continues to develop over the western North Pacific and is forecast to move northeastward into the western Bering sea during the next 36-48 hours. Forecasts suggest winds and seas increasing over the next 24-36hrs to forces 10-12 (55-70kts) within 300 NM south of the center. North Pacific Analysis

A significant East Coast Storm event continues to develop along the US East Coast as a deepening low off the North Carolina coast is now causing gale force winds/seas from Hatteras to the Georges Bank and south of New England with storm force winds now developing over the Baltimore Canyon area.
