Weather or Not!

It's funny how suddenly there are leaves and flowers on the trees and bushes when just three days before, nothing. It's like Mother Nature wants to make up for lost time. My azaleas are in full bloom along with the forsythias, and all the trees are showing signs of life You can see the birds gathering food particles for themselves and their little ones. We have a bird's nest under the cap of our gas tank but I haven't been able to get a good look at the bird to see what it is. I think, maybe a robin. Robins are the first birdS that you hear in the morning. They are loud and sometimes not a welcome sound it you want to sleep in.
This morning is another of several beautiful days that we've had lately. After a total rainfall of just under 8 inches in April, everything is lush and green. The lawn grows about an inch every day and it keeps my husband busy mowing. He loves playing with his lawn tractor but this is getting to be a bit much. It would be nice if we got just enough rain to settle the dust on the road however.
Right now (9:30 AM EDT), our temp is 59F (15C), the humidity is 33%, and winds are from the ESE at 5 mph. The pressure is 30.07" (1018 mb) and steady and the dew point is 38F (3C). Sunrise was at 6:24 AM and will set at 8:42 PM. Skies are partly cloudy.

OUR FORECAST:
Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 74. East southeast wind 6 to 8 mph.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 47. Southeast wind 3 to 6 mph.

TILL NEXT TIME . . . . CATHIE

After a beautiful, sunny morning, we now have steady rain and flood warnings/watches. Our ground is saturated from the storms of last week, and many areas to our north are still under water. They certainly don't need the rain that is expected into tomorrow night.

The rain started about 5:30 PM and has continued since then. We had pea-sized hail at 6:00 PM which only lasted a few minutes. The rain has been moderate to heavy since it began, ...

One could almost say that our weather is boring. But on the other hand, it's typical for February in Michigan. The past four days have brought temps hovering around freezing, skies have been mostly cloudy, winds have been moderate, and there has been intermittent snow flurries. The forecast is showing that we could see quite a bit of sun tomorrow. That would be a welcome change.

We don't have much snow cover at this time. The only snow ...

Once again, most of our snow is gone with temps rising above normal. We should see the 40s today before the deep freeze returns Sunday night. On the down side, winds will be very strong with the approach of this latest frigid air mass. So it will not be a good day for outdoor activities. Yesterday's high was 37F (2.8C) as temps continued to rise overnight. The low was 16F -8.9C) early in the day. There was a mix of sun and clouds and a few brief snow showers ...

Although most of the winter season has been mild for us so far, these next few days will possibly be record breakers. We could see the low 60s on Saturday although that will be followed by another round of cold temperatures. In fact, very cold. Michigan has been at a snow deficit this winter and winter sports enthusiasts are hoping that it will soon change.

Friday and Saturday could topple the records for high temps with upper 50s and lower...
