05:50, 61F, slight fog. roosters up. yellow dogs at back door. new moon. solar eclipse but we won't see it. chilly..08:50, 2 rabbits at the front gate. low tide with herons at CK. warm. 70's. tide coming in. sold 2 doz. eggs. went home after p.o. and the market for milk.. got paper.11:10, 89F at the farm. ate all the left-overs for lunch. a nap sounds good. lazy me ...m. connelly's "5th witness" is boring but has an interesting ending. r.w. white's lat...

07:18, 69F, overcast. roosters up. frogs croaking in the horse barn trough. fixin' to fry some bacon.19:00, 81F, variable breezes, mostly cloudy but sunny too.. hung out a wash at 13:00, it was dry by 16:00. instead of mowing, I put sheep in yard for afternoon. (dogs in pen.) had to watch them sheep - keep them off the pear tree and the roses. swallow-tail kite circling the farm yard. 5-line skink at back door.. just about time to start the chores. got 2 eg...

05:50, 65F. foggy. roosters crowing, songbirds singing. doo-dah.. dixie at back door.. oatmeal.09:30, high tide on suwannee river. salt tide coming in. water temps: 27C, 79F. probably cooler on the bottom of the river. we trawled in an area deeper than 7 meters (22'). air temps upper 70's, wind NE, 5-7 knts. did mostly trawls. low catches, YOY sand trout, whiting.. and both salt and fresh water catfish, anchovies, mojarra, some blue crabs, plus a juv...
