it was a busy day for the plapman yesterday. I walked to my eyeman to get mt glasses adjusted then stopped at afriends for a chat. he's been having health problems too. He was sheduled for knee surgery in October but when the checked his health condition the found a blockage in his heart arteries. So instead of the knee operation he ended up with a triple bypass. He has yet to have he kne surgery. While walking home my legs started to feel strange, like walking on air. My only thought was that if I'm going to have a ceasure i was goung to do it at home and not along the road. Once home the granddaughter called the Queen who took me to the ER. There the doctors dianosed a stroke and with a new policy implimented recently I was sent by ambulane to the stroke clinic in Winnipeg. They confirmed the stroke as a TIA but also said that due to the unknown state of the clot once found in my heart the couldn't have given me the clot buster as it may have sent particles of the heart clot throughout the system. I guess untill they redo the echo work I may as well stay home if I feel I'm having a stroke as there is nothing the doctors can do for me. It's getting pretty bad. The paramedics all know me and I strating to recognize them. The lady on the return trip was with me on a trip for an MIR and the one one the trip in has picked me up at home and even knows my address by heart. I sure wish they'd find a solution to my problems.
On the bright side the new grandson is doing well nad him and the daughter were released yesterday. All is well with them. I now have a new grandson whom I can teach to be rotten.:) then send him home to mom. Revenge is sweet!

Morning, Tony,

It's good to see your sense of humor still is intact! And you still know your primary responsibility - spoiling that new grandson. Carry on!

Sorry to hear about the new developments. I must say, you sound like you're handling it as well as anyone could - and good that you're got people who know you. It's much better than having new folks to deal with every time.

Hope your day's good and uneventful. It has to be unnerving to keep going through these unexpected "happenings".

Good morning Tony. Sorry to hear that you had another TIA. It sure would be nice if they could find the source of the clots that are the major cause of your strokes. Have they done carotid dopplers to see if those arteries are clear. Find the cause then implement a cure sure makes more sense then guessing don't it? Could they be respiratory related or are there other warning signs they should be looking at, aortic stenosis etc. You are already on blood thinners, so perhaps its time to look for something else. How is your renal function...any renal stenosis they should look at? Anyway dear one, I hope the Queen keeps at them and they do find the cause soon.

Thanks for the funnies this morning. They helped to brighten my morning. Have a good day dear one. Take care of yourself.

Tony, are you keeping close to home now? It's raining out anyway, and I'm sure there's plenty to do around the house!

Take care!

Hi Tony!

So sorry to learn of your sudden health setback the other day! Glad you were able to make it home safely and get help to the ER! We all hope that your docs will find a proper solution for your continued complex health problems so you can resume, at least, some of your more enjoyable daily activities.

Glad that Alley's around here to help with sound medical suggestions and all round support. All these related symptoms and conditions can become so complicated at times. It's nice to have someone with experienced nursing skills, like her, to help us consider possible avenues or alternatives to take.

Wishing you and yours all the best and hope that new grandson of yours will provide continual uplift in spirits.

Good morning Tony. Just saw that you posted on Ylee's blog. Take care of yourself dear one. If the weather is good, a short walk is good but as soon as you start feeling unwell, come home. Abbey will understand if there is no time for gopher hunting.

stay safe and stay well.

Good Mornin' Tony!

Hope you're feeling a bit better today and that your weekend will be pleasant or without further incident.

You've possibly noticed that our blogs and postings aren't updating on WU today. I've sent in a ticket to WU tech support alerting them of this problematic glitch. Hope they can fix it before the weekend arrives. It's nice to know when our friends are actually online instead of just going around and guessing.

Despite the gloomy, chilly, intermittently rainy weather we've had this past week, it still hasn't produced enough rainfall to make up for a serious deficit. At least, our pollen count remains much lower, but this miserable weather does dampen ones spirits after awhile. Hopefully, by Sunday, things will pick up a bit and some sunshine and warmth will make its way to Mass.

Continue to pace yourself for awhile and enjoy your family and scenery around you. Best wishes!
