Lion Country Safari
Feb 5, 2012: Happy National Weatherperson's Day!!!
and Happy Superbowl Sunday!!! Go Giants!!!!

And we have Invest 90 to watch. It is way too early for this right?

Jan 31, 2012:
Nolan and I started the day at the polls, I voted for my pick of GOP Presidential canidates. I picked Rick Santorum but I am pretty sure he will not win the nomination; however I think he should. There is nothing wrong with him and while I will support Newt or Mitt if they win, they are flawed. Oh well... I did my duty and took my grandson to witness Democracy in Action.
Then we went to Two Jays for Breakfast then to Lion Country Safari. I took Rylee there when she was 3 and she loved it. So got to take Noly there too.
I took 95 pictures today but I promise I will try to keep it down to 20 to upload here on my blog! LOL

Here are my "weather" maps

-------------------------------------
I found out, these maps are measuring fire hazard and soil moisture, not necessary drought according to rainfall.

I took Rylee to Lion Country Safari in Sept 23, 2008 and so many of her pictures (which are here in archives) are same as Nolan's 3 1/2 yrs later!

AC for Flamingo Reflections !!!! South Florida Treasures
Jan 25, 2012: Woke up this morning and found out my photo Flamingo Reflections won an AC award!!
I was so pleased!
Jan 24, 2012:
Nolan and I were at Flamingo Gardens this morning and plan to do Butter Fly World in the next two weeks.
As many of you know, I have been taking the Grands to these
gardens since Rylee was 18 mos old.
And I have posted many pictures from these areas.
But because I buy yearly passes and have taken them for granted since I have lived here for almost 33 years..
I realized I should really become more aware of just how special these places are.
Not just these two places but our HOliday Park out in the Everglades and the down town Ft Lauderdale area.
There are so many wonderful places in SE Florida that has so much beauty I wish I could take you to see them all.
So I will continue to post pictures of these landmarks of our part of the country as often as I can.
