Easter Christian Graphics
It is that time again for my March of Dimes, March for Babies fundraiser for all our Babies.
Our joint goal is again $1,000 which we have raised the last two years with alot of your help.
But not sure we will get that far this year.
So many of you have helped out in the past and
I thank you so much. If anyone can help it will be appreciated. No donation is too small to be helpful.
I have been a March of Dimes Mother since Greg was born premature back in 1975.
3 of our 5 grandchildren were March of Dimes Babies and the one coming this summer could also
need this organization but we hope not. So once again, I will walk/run for our Babies.

So many of you are helping us again this year and it is so appreciated!!!
You know who you are and so do I. Thank you all so much!!!

Here are my "weather" maps

I found out, these maps are measuring fire hazard and soil moisture, not necessary drought according to rainfall.

back at work this morning.. "long" week.. yuck!
NEw, I have paid a lot for a nice cocktail dresses in the past, but I get a lot of wear out of it and when I pay a lot I try to get something that is more classic and will not go out of style quickly.
But so far I am not really into expensive "designer" items...
I have some favorate designers, who I will buy, as long as they cator to a working class paycheck!
Daughter Betsey, her senior year, when all other kids buy their Senior Class Ring.. I still have mine... She said she would NOT get her senior ring if she could spend more on her prom dress! But she is also the one who would spend $500 on a handbag...lucky she married well and can do things like that!
Glad to see you check in!
I will have to go to your blog to see how your home project is coming along!
Ylee, thanks.. actually no "works" in the kitchen yet.. I still have a lot of "packing" to do in the kitchen/dining area... the cabinets are not empty yet. I will have to complete that this coming up weekend, Sun & Mon... I think the demo will start around 17th or 18th.. since cabinets are coming Fri 4/20.
I am getting as prepared as I can as quickly as I can... no going back now!
Karen, yes it was a beautiful Easter Sunday in our area as you can see we were all in the pool... water was a little too cold for us adults.. we had some cold nights the week before... now when I say "cold" I meant lows in the mid 60's! LOL
thanks everyone for stopping by.
This is my long week so hopfully I will have some time to get around to a few blogs...
Also hope to check in more often.. was a busy week at home.. my 3 days off just went by way too quickly....
Enjoy your "hump" day!
I love going to the old down town Del Rey Beach, it is just lovely.
As you can see it is already pool weather. Hope your wife's back problems get better soon so she can fully enjoy the trip to SE Florida!
Thanks for stopping by.
hich makes it the LOOOONNNNNGGGGG week.
I have a hard time handling the long weeks these days; I think I am getting too old for this
many hours 4 days a week..
3 long days a week I can handle much easier!
Thanks for stopping by.. Good luck...
keep positive
we will survive this week!!!
Yes I am at work; been here about 45 mins already.
Not sure what to expect today... will check back when I can!
Looks like you guys had a great Easter!
I posted the answer to the riddle, which you correctly solved, on Gatorxgrrrl's blog along with a little info and a pic of the Pentagon Owl.
Hope you have a good day, even if you do have to work!
{{thank you}}
Thanks!!!
Sandi, Yes she is, little Rylee is getting way too grown up too quickly for my liking..
and being the only girl seems to make it worse.
Thank you!!!
Hi everyone, will be going home on lunch break soon to check on Harley. I don't like to leave him alone for our work days of 13-14 hours now he is older. So I drive 25 miles round trip just to spend a little while walking him and feeding him and checking on him!
Thanks for stopping by!
I'm baaaaaaaaack, in Germany, that is. Returned this morning after the usual all night U.S to Europe flight. Luckily everything both ways was on time. Actually arrived in Atlanta, from Stuttgart, one hour early.
Had a great time in Pensacola and Orlando. Temps in the mid 80's and no rain. Seemed hot to us as it was 28 degrees when we flew out of Stuttgart Sunday morning April 1st. Here today it is in the 40's and on-off rain and should be 40's day and 30's night with rain through the weekend. Should have stayed in Florida!!!!!
The beaches in Pensacola were bright white as usual with few tourists so far. The rental house near Orlando was very nice and easily accommodated all 10 of us. The Magic Kingdom and EPCOT were as I remembered, just better. We went to Universal (mainly for the Harry Potter theme) but it was horrendously overcrowded, like a New York subway. Didn't really like it, very over rated. But all the kids had a great time and part of this was for our family reunion. The last time Mom and all of us three kids (and grandkids) were together was at least 10 or more years. Would you believe my 85 year old mother went on Space Mountain??
We were actually not too far from you, were we?
Have a great day and I will attempt to get over my jet lag.
Seems a bit strange to say welcome back when you just left here for there...but you know what I mean.
Glad that Florida showed you some good weather and a good time.
Never really was impressed with Universal myself. Once, a friend's band was playing there New Years eve and they got me a free pass...Don't think I've ever felt so crowded in my life.
I'll bet your mom can be a handful. Reminds me of my dad's mother when she was in her 80s.
Anyway...good to see you!
Just send us the Florida weather. First thing my youngest daughter said when we landed back in Germany was "It won't be warm like in Florida, will it?"
I just said a simple "No". I really wanted to scream "No, no, NONONONONONONONONONONO, absolutely not!!!!!!!", but I didn't. LOL
Nigel, first time to my blog I think, thanks for stopping by!
Scott, I knew you were having some great weather while you were here. ACtually Orlando is about 3 hrs drive north of me, I think it is around 180 miles.
I am not a big fan of Universal either, went once to the one in California and never even wanted to bother with the one in Orlando.
Space Mountain still a favorite; Hubby and I love roller coaster rides. The only one I will never ride again is the one in Animal Kingdom..It nearly made me throw up! LOL
Did you all love Splash Mountain??? if you sit in the front you will get wet!
Wish I could send you over an early spring but I guess Mother Nature has other plans.
so happy your family reunion was a good time by all.. and Pensacola beaches are always white and beautiful...
You will have to come back again next year!
St. Louis is off to a good start, 5-2 with all the games played so far being on the road! Home opener Fri. night against the Cubs with Wainright pitching! Woo-hoo! :)
May the the rest of the work week be a blur! :)
I have been hearing about all the Cardinals victories this season..
I hope this "good start" does not jinx them!
Oh yes, Day 3 of my 4 Day Long week... and foolishness abounds!
We are in the process of "re-engineering" our department... aka.. getting rid of it entirely.
I admit it is out dated and new technology is taking over the jobs we are doing...
And all is well and good... overall the "Company" is doing great..
keeping up with the changing times, etc....been around over 160 years...
but you have to keep up with the market and technology to stay valid.
So it is always a little hard on employees when they know they are going away..
and most of our employees in this dept do not have the skill set to work in any other of our depts...
I came to this dept after 14 yrs in the other depts...but I am "wanting" to be "re-engineered"
out of a job... as long as I get that severence package!
But I an old and hopefully at the end of this career.
I cannot wait to try and make a go out of something I enjoy.. like my artwork.!!!
You work nights don't you? does your dept work 24/7 12 hour shifts like we do???
Where Gardengrrl aka "GG" works in Texas they have the same shifts we do and she and I both are on the same shift... This is our "long" week.
Thanks for stopping by.
for some of us "like GG and myself" it is "Thursday" ..
So far has not been too bad this week; all the "pressure" items have been done so just BAU this week.
After slacking off Jan, Feb and March on my workouts..
i did some but nothing compared to prev years during these months..
I have stepped it up in April and getting back on a regular schedule.
I am mixing in the ellipical machine with biking, walking and running.
Each of these works different parts of the body and the change up is suppose to be good for us.
And still doing well on keeping off the weight I lost last year.. even lost a few more pounds so now
below my previous goal!! YEAH!!!
I cannot belive it is already April 13th...
Really need to set up a new blog thread this weekend...
I try to have 2 per month and this one started in March..
Will check back later, you all have a great day.
Maybe if you get your severence package, since you are so fit you could become a physical trainer! That way you would get paid for staying in shape! :)
Have a good one!
If I didn't wake at 5am I would't do a daily blog. This way I'm quite and don't wake anyone else in the house.
Enjoy your day.
Ylee,
I have heard of shifts like that. Before we close this place down I think we will alter some of the shifts as the work dwindles.
I think your schedule would be hard to get use to.
LOL funny, actually I use to think about being a Physical Education teacher or teach Gymnastic...
Those were my BEST classes in school! Go figure! LOL even in college I was in gymnastic classs.
But no more.. getting way too old and the old body gets so stiff every morning.
When/IF I get a severance package I will take a few months to rest and get my house in order
like I have been wanting to do for 25 yrs ..
then I will really pursue my Art full time.
Being an Artist requires a lot of time "networking" and going to shows and working your websites, etc..
and a lot of time producing new works.
If I cannot make a living selling paintings I will try to get involved with some designers and contractors to see if they need wall muralist for homes or offices, etc.
Painting wall murals is not what I want to do all the time but if I have to do a few jobs a month to make ends meet, I will.
I have a lot of "Plan Bs" in my mind that I can pursue as soon as I have the chance.
But I need that 14 months of severance pay so I will have time to get it all together.
LT, that sounds great.. have a safe trip down. The weather is beautiful.
We don't get up to Del Ray Beach often.. we live about 40 mins south of that.
But when we have been there we love it.
And Mizner Park is beautiful. Our kids love to go up there on weekends.
I doubt if I will get to "retire" from bring in a at least a little income for at another few years...
but I am excited to "retire" from the Corporate World.
Plap/Tony, so that is how you get up a new blog thread every day. I was wondering how you found time for that. I try to get up a new blog thread twice a month and it is hard!
Thanks for stopping by.
Enjoy your weekend!!!
Hi everyone, I went out side to "warm up" we keep this warehouse so cold because of all
the paper products we have in here...
so every hour or two I have to go outside to get warm.. anyway, it is pouring rain outside.
here in Weston Fla.. wonder if it is raining at myhouse?
Weston gets a lot of rainfall because they are so far inland, use to be swamps before it was developed about 30 yrs ago..
We need some rainfall according to the Moisture Fire map so it is a good thing.
Tomorrow we have 30% showers. Of course it's gonna be so windy that whatever we may get will dry up right away.
no problem

Jeff, thanks! I knew it was a pretty good rain storm here in Weston earlier.
Just looked at the radar and it seems to be those showers than crank up over the Everglades inland and build up as they roll to the coast.
Look at the map above my header.
Maybe enough places will get some scattered showers to make a difference.
When I went home for lunch we just got sprinkles on and off there.. no measurable rainfall yet...
Thanks for posting the report!!!
Thanks for rminding me that it's saturday. Now that I'm retired I have a hard time knowing what day it is. The Queen says she couldn't live like that where the big event in my week is knowing when to put the trash on the curb. The other day while shopping we met a friend of the Queen whose retired and she has the same problem. Her big event is that on Tuesday she gets a magazine she likes. I think it's a great way to live. Sleep when your tired, eat when hungery and look for things to fill your day.
Enjoy your weekend.
