A little about my self -

I joined weather Underground in August of 2005 right after they opened the blogging feature. I have been a weather hobbyist since the middle 60's when I lived on the west coast of Florida, north of the Tampa Bay area. I currently live in a small community in central Illinois.

I have been through numerous Hurricanes during my life time. The worse being Hurricane Camille in August 17,1969, A Cat 5, where the eye passed over the location I was at. That being Biloxi, Ms when I was in the USAF stationed at Keesler AFB.

looks to be a stormy weekend for the southern states ... severe storms are possible ... a little further north the people of Tn and Ky will have a snow storm with up to 10 inches forecast in some areas.. He never replied :( But maybe that saved me from a major heartbreak... Hi Wabit, Each area of Britain has its own local radio station that plays music throughout the day, but every half an hour gives local traffic and weather reports. They also report on school closures when we have snow or ice. I suppose this is as near as we get to having weather radios.
