Tropical Depression Boris is located well out over the Pacific Ocean, and will move southwestward. Meanwhile, a tropical wave will trigger heavy rainfall over Hispaniola on Sunday. The Greater Antilles will see some strong afternoon thunderstorms, while the Lesser Antilles will also see afternoon showers and storms. Tropical Storm Bertha will continue to approach the Caribbean on Sunday, but will still not threaten any land.

Low pressure and a tropical wave moving through Venezuela will trigger stormy conditions across northern South America on Sunday. Eastern Brazil will see some coastal showers due to onshore flow throughout the day, while a weak trough will produce clouds and rain over Uruguay and Argentina. Weather History:

Did you know that...

It was sunny on this date in 1991 at St. Paul Island, Alaska. This is not exciting until you know that the next 60 days were cloudy, with the next sunny day occurring on September 5th. When the sun finally came out, the island reported a daily record high of 55 degrees.
