Imagine how scary it would be, feeling the truck going over and knowing there was nothing you could do to stop it happening. I hope no one was injured!

I'll never look at an 18 wheeler the same way again. They look like matchbox trucks but I know they aren't. Totally nuts.

WHOA!! We wondered what was going on that way as I was watching the radar...go to wowt.tv and you will see that a tornado hit the town of Thurman which is right next to this location....according to news reports,75% of town was damaged..and looks like there is still more stormage to come overnite! Thanks for sharing this important footage!! We [in Shenandoah] had the sirens going in the afternoon, but did'nt get anything luckily..no hail, just a period of high winds and heavy rain.Hope you did'nt have any problems in this area when you took your photos! Thanks again!-Mindi

Great pictures! Glad it wasn't my hubby! He said he was driving in the snow on I-40 near Gallup, NM at about the same time. Crazy weather this year! Thanks for sharing!

Scares the living daylights out of me! My husband and I are truckers, NEVER encountered anything like this, only (luckily) heard about it.

This is horrific!

I drove trucks for 27 years and can vouch for the fact that all that airspace between the road and the underside/bottom of the trailer can and DOES catch a lot of wind. Crosswinds can lift a trailer so that the tires on the side nearest the wind sometimes lose contact with the ground -- and as is proven by these photos -- and if there is enough wind, can be turned over. Thank you for taking and sharing these candid photos. It is my hope that people will view trucks as something that can be very vulnerable during such storms.
