I got into photography after I was shot in the line of duty as a police officer back in 2007 and forced out of uniform. I continue to serve, but as a plain clothes detective. Even after 6 years, I continue to undergo numerous surgeries to correct the damage done from the shooting (14 so far). I have also enjoyed the field of astronomy since I was a child. Now with my passion for photography, I am delving into the world of astrophotography. My life's philosophy is very simple...when in a life or death situation, as long as you're breathing you're good and never give up the fight. Also, God and family come first.
