What a darling portrait of a baby turkey! I have a friend who raised some wild turkeys and wrote a book about it (Illumination in the Flatwoods). Here's a link to the movie that was produced based on Joe's book. My Life as a Turkey

Willow13,
What a wonderful story/ movie. Readers, for 50 minutes of pure pleasure, CLICK on the link above. This is a great story that can be shared with the members of your family. As a former teacher, I can see a mountain of ways this could be used in the classroom.
Thank you Willow13 for sharing this experience!

About Denalidaze
Denalidaze I have loved photography since I was quite young. My mother had an old box camera and I was always excited to see the magical pictures when she had them developed. She mailed them off and I would check the mail each day to see if they had returned. As I grew, the cameras in my life also grew. My husband and I love to travel. During our 44 years of marriage, we have never bought each other Christmas, birthday, or anniversary presents. Travel each year was our gift to the other. Of course with travel comes pictures. I have been to 47 states and many foreign countries. On our first trip to Europe, we purchased a 35 mm Canon camera in Germany. I Took MANY picture and slides. I used a lot of my photographs in the classroom (30 years) and brought the wonders of the world to my students. My first digital camera was a Sony Mavica. Wow, digital discovery was like eating food with no calories. What a way to celebrate life! On our visits to Alaska, it is not unusual for me to take 60 GB of pictures. Now, I seldom leave the house without my camera. Yes, I have loads of pictures, but I am always looking for more pictures to take, and ways to improve my skills.Create your own visitor map free counter for your website
